Why You Don't Actually Need a Coach
I’m going to say the thing that most coaches won’t say - nobody needs a coach.
That’s right - nobody needs a coach.
Even without a coach it’s possible to achieve the goal that you’re after eventually.
So why do professional coaches exist across all areas of life from sports to business?
It’s to:
-Create a solid strategy and structure to achieve their goals
-Drive intentionality
-Set expectations
-Create accountability to do what they say they are going to do in the timeframe that aligns with their goals
-Uncover blind spots - see the things that they don’t see
-To move from good to great
-Challenge them to look outside of what they’ve always done to achieve more
-Communicate more effectively
-Become a better leader for themselves, their teammates, their “sport”
-Build relationships differently, more effectively
-Create a team environment so everyone knows where they’re going and why they’re going there
It’s also to have a safe space to say the thing that they won’t or can’t say to other people.
To be vulnerable.
To continue growing.
And all these things drive results faster than without a coach.
