Why Executives Are Leaving Companies At An Alarming Rate?
Recently, I've been receiving an incredible influx of notifications about executives starting new roles. In fact, I've learned that some have been willing to take a reduction in pay. So, what's going on?
The shift is a symptom of a bigger issue.
They're either:
Not in alignment with the culture of the organization (Values, Vision or Mission)…
-or-
Not in alignment with the CEO’s (priorities, working style, values or relationships).
Or both.
When leaders fail to:
-
Invest in their people
-
Create authentic relationships
-
Create a culture of open & transparent communication
The impact trickles from the top of the organization all the way down. If the CEO doesn't develop & grow the c-suite, the c-suite won't do it for their VPs, and so on & so forth.
The result?
Executives get tired.
And they leave.
It doesn't matter your role - everyone in your organization needs growth and development to stay engaged and motivated. If you don't take care of your people, they'll find an organization that will.
