BOOK A CALL

What message are you sending by YOUR behavior?

As I was coming home the other day I was met with our garbage company emptying our bins. As they dumped our recycling into the truck a can flew out and then a plastic bag and then another.

They finished emptying the bins and went in reverse only to leave behind these items.

They didn’t get out of the truck and pick them up. Just kept going.

There was no:

Ownership
Responsibility
Pride in their work
Discipline
Customer Focus

This behavior is similar to how it goes in many organizations. And it starts at the very top.

If you see trash on the ground do you pick it up?
How about if one of your peers is talking about another one of your peers? Do you stop it? Or take part in it…
When you see something positive - do you stop and acknowledge the person exhibiting that positive behavior? Or walk on by?
If you see the coffee is out - do you make another pot?

Your actions can most certainly speak louder than words.

Your employees are watching.

What do they see?
