How to Conquer Self Doubt as an Executive
Even the most powerful CEO’s and Executives fall victim to this.
Negative self-talk.
You can be the head of a multi-billion corporation or leading team of 100 employees and just like any other human being, these negative thoughts can show up.
I’ve heard anything from “I’m not as good as my predecessor” to “I’m a failure” all the way to “I’m an idiot for doing x, y or z”.
That self-talk isn’t factual, nor does it lend to moving you forward. Rather it keeps you right where you are.
Start catching yourself talk and talk back!
❏ How does this thought serve me?
❏ How does it help me achieve what I want to achieve today?
❏ Does this thought really help me be a good person?
❏ Does this help me be the best person I can be?
Discipline your thinking first and then allow action to flow from that way of thinking so you can conquer self doubt as an executive.
